In our SPURENSUCHE series, we guide you through the magnificent Villa Seligmann in the heart of Hanover. Since its reopening in 2012, Villa Seligmann has become a beacon of Jewish music and culture. It offers an international forum for people to meet, regardless of their origin, religion or cultural background. Renowned experts will give presentations on various topics and allow you to take a look into the past and behind the scenes. The historical building and, of course, the history of the Seligmann family take center stage.
In the fourth part of the event series, historian Dr. Peter Schulze will shed light on Siegmund Seligmann’s role in historical events as an honorary citizen of the city of Hanover. The socio-political developments surrounding his family residence – the Villa Seligmann – also play an important role.
