Prizewinners’ concert JüMiD
Music competition to promote Jewish culture
Description
As part of the anniversary “321-2021: 1700 years of Jewish life in Germany”, Global Partnership Hannover e.V. has initiated a composition competition on contemporary Jewish music in cooperation with Villa Seligmann. Musicians who either have Jewish roots or explicitly identify with Judaism are invited to present a musical inventory of their identity in Germany.
We cordially invite you to the presentation of the award winners at Villa Seligmann on 05.05.2022. You can look forward to musical pieces in the categories classical music, popular music, jazz and synagogue music!
JüMiD is also intended to draw attention to the contemporary Jewish cultural scene in Germany and set an example for the continuity of Jewish music-making. In this way, (young) Jewish culture is to be made tangible as a natural part of pluralistic German society.
You can find more information about the music competition and the application process here.
