Piano recital with Marina Baranova
Description
“Art and music can only flourish if the audience and the artists form a symbiosis and shape the cultural event together,” – says Marina Baranova about her new project “Pictures of ANOTHER Exhibition”, which she will present and explain at Villa Seligmann at the turn of the year.
In the midst of the cultural lockdown, Hanover-based pianist and composer Marina Baranova explored new ways of emotional connection and artistic intimacy with the audience. From the personal exchange with individual project participants, she created a new artistic concept: she had private artifacts and memorabilia sent to her photographically and viewed them as art objects. Enriched by the respective personal backgrounds, the sound artist transformed these objects into sound images. By setting the “pictures” to music, Baranova drew subtle psychological portraits. A series of new compositions were created against this background.
