Israel Day 2022

Traditional Israel Festival of the DIG

In the garden of Villa Seligmann

This event is in the past. You can no longer purchase this.

Description

The German-Israeli Society once again invites you to the traditional Israel Festival in the garden of Villa Seligmann.

You can expect a varied stage program, information stands that invite you to talk, delicious Israeli food, homemade cakes and waffles, coffee and tea, as well as a glass of kosher wine.

The Israel Festival places great emphasis on the religious, cultural and culinary diversity that is also reflected in Israel. Hanover’s Jewish communities will be represented with information stands: the Bucharian community, the Liberal community and the community in Haeckelstraße. There is a Biblical Journeys stand.

This year, the DIG is particularly pleased that the Muslim Ahmadiyya community will be represented with a stand: they are strongly committed to combating anti-Semitism worldwide. In the Middle East, its headquarters are located in Haifa – as is that of the Bahai. The Ezidi Academy is also represented.

There will be a stand of the RIAS – Research and Information Center on Anti-Semitism. New this year is the Culture Garage: a cultural program will be offered in an unusual location where many artists from Israel will be performing. Of course, the DIG and Villa Seligmann will also have a stand.

Of course, there will once again be delicious falafel prepared by Abdel Diab-Greve, Israeli wine from WEDEVINI/Lister Weinladen as well as soft drinks and coffee, fresh waffles and delicious cakes.

The DIG Hannover is looking forward to welcoming many visitors to this family-friendly festival of diversity!
