Richard Schwennicke – Management
In this matinee with music and a talk, we will once again focus on the diverse traditions of Jewish culture, as they often come together in one person. The musical guest is Isidoro Abramowicz, cantor of Berlin’s Pestalozzistrasse Synagogue, who is at home in two different musical worlds: on the one hand, there is the work of Louis Lewandowski, the forefather of liberal synagogal music in Germany, whose 200th birthday will be celebrated in 2021. On the other hand, there is the Yiddish tango from Abramowicz’s native Argentina. The vocal ensemble King David Consort Hannover as well as soloists from the ensemble and the orchestra of the Hanover State Opera will also be on the opera stage. Richard Schwennicke is in charge.
