Villa Seligmann, in cooperation with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, the Rudolf von Bennigsen Foundation, the Bergen-Belsen Memorial and the Anne Frank Zentrum in Berlin, cordially invites you to the opening of the traveling exhibition “Deine Anne. A girl writes history”, which will be on display in Hanover from February 7 to March 7, 2024. The exhibition is primarily aimed at school classes. The classes are guided through the exhibition by specially trained pupils, the so-called exhibition guides, and encouraged to engage intensively with the personal history of Anne Frank, the history of National Socialism, the Holocaust and the Second World War. As part of the festive opening of the exhibition on February 7, pupils from Hanover schools will read selected excerpts from the “Diary of Anne Frank”.
We also welcome the Lower Saxony State Commissioner against Anti-Semitism and for the Protection of Jewish Life, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wegner, as well as Veronika Nahm (Director of the Anne Frank Zentrum Berlin) and Katrin Unger (Deputy Director of the Bergen-Belsen Memorial).
The exhibition opening will be accompanied by Maria Baranova on the piano.
