Description

Aurel Dawidiuk
– Piano and organ
Winners of the German Music Competition 2022

In the “Young Master Interpreters” series, the Villa Seligmann presents young artists who are in the process of making a name for themselves on the German and international stage. In the House of Jewish Music, the young talents present selected repertoire that illustrates the origins, connections and interactions of Jewish musical culture.

The opening event will be performed by 21-year-old organist, pianist and conductor Aurel Dawidiuk. In his recital, the award-winning Hanoverian will play works by Felix Mendelssohn, Mieczyslaw Weinberg and J. Seb. Bach on the piano and on the organ. Look forward to a musical acquaintance with the multi-talented Aurel Dawidiuk and also to the sound of our iconic synagogue organ!

On 10.08.2022, Aurel Dawidiuk was selectedas the winner of the German Music Competition in the organ category. (The last time a prize was awarded in this category was in 2001). We congratulate Aurel Dawidiuk on his success and are particularly looking forward to his performance at Villa Seligmann on September 8, 2022.
