Welcome to Hanover, Mr. Ambassador!
During his first visit to Villa Seligmann on August 6, 2024, the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Germany, H.E. Ron Prosor, inquired about the activities and history of the house. The focus of the friendly talks with house director Eliah Sakakushev-von Bismarck was Villa Seligmann’s cultural relations with Israel. Mention was made of the Israeli artists who regularly perform here. The importance of Israel as a center and collection point for Jewish cultural heritage worldwide, beyond politics and current events, was also emphasized. Ron Prosor left a note in the guest book of Villa Seligmann:
It is a great honor to be here. The work that is done here is a bridge between Jews, Christians and Muslims. It brings us together through music. I am convinced that we will expand and deepen the cooperation between Israel and Hanover. All respect for the excellent work that is being done here!
