Villa Seligmann will once again be part of the popular“Night of the Museums<\/a>” this year.<\/p>\n

The former family residence of factory director Siegmund Seligmann is a rare testimony to upper-class Jewry at the beginning of the 20th century and up until the Shoah. High-ranking guests and business partners were received in the lavishly furnished historicist villa. Today, Villa Seligmann is a place of living Jewish culture.<\/p>\n

From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., visitors can learn more about the history, architecture, restoration of the interior and the art treasures of the house. Lectures and guided tours will provide insights into the Villa Seligmann cultural project and the new education and school program. Contrasting live music by Paul Brody<\/a>, Marina Baranova<\/a> and the North German Synagogal Choir<\/a> will be performed in the house and garden. <\/p>\n

Special highlights this year are the exhibition “Hebrew Calligraphy”<\/a>, which can be seen in the Villa Seligmann until mid-September, and the artwork TOUCH by Israeli artist Avi Albers Ben Chamo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prior registration is not required. Unfortunately, Villa Seligmann is not barrier-free.<\/p>\n

The capacity of the listed building is limited. Therefore, please be prepared for waiting times at the entrance, which you can enjoy in the garden of Villa Seligmann with drinks and spontaneous encounters.<\/p>\n

Tickets<\/strong>
\nTickets can be purchased in each participating house for a one-off fee of 7 euros. Children up to the age of 14 and holders of the HannoverAktiv-Pass are admitted free of charge. <\/p>\n
