The Present

About the Villa today

Arrived in the 21st Century

The Present

Now, in 2020 the Villa Seligmann is connecting the past and the present, the sacred and the profane. As a place of free thinking and open hearts, the Villa sees itself as a vehicle for the creation of intercultural relationship, speaking the common language of music.
Inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Judaism this will be expressed by moderated concerts, musical readings, guided tours through the house, lectures, workshops and exhibitions. By this way the Villa covers a wide span, geographically and by contents, of the complexity of Jewish life.

In the European context of the 21st century, the Villa is dedicated to pass on common values in a dialogue with the young generation. In cooperation with other cultural organisations, the Villa Seligmann stands for overcoming distance by the language of music, getting rid of antagonisms, building bridges and reconciling people.
