Learn about Jewish holidays
Creative storytelling workshop for students on the Jewish holidays: focus on Sukkot (the Feast of Tabernacles).
Description
Experience Sukkot creatively
In the storytelling workshop, author Eva Lezzi and visual artist Anna Adam introduce the Jewish holidays celebrated in September and October 2023. These include the Jewish High Holidays and especially Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles. For this seven-day “feast of joy,” they lead students on an imaginative journey: What is a sukkah? What does your leaf hut look like? What do you experience in a sukkah?
The storytelling workshop combines reading aloud, storytelling, learning, creativity and imagination. At the end, the crafted leaf huts and invented stories are presented to each other in turn. The children’s artwork will remain on display at Villa Seligmann until the end of Sukkot and can be admired until October 6, 2023.
The workshop is aimed at school classes of levels 5 and 6.
Cost: 50 euros per class
