Description

Villa Seligmann benefit concert

Sharon Kam, clarinet
Ania Vegry, soprano
Mario Häring, piano
Address: Falko Mohrs, Minister for Science and Culture of Lower Saxony
Welcome and moderation: Eliah Sakakushev-von Bismarck, Director of Villa Seligmann

Deeply affected by the current developments in Israel and the Middle East, we want to express our sympathy and solidarity at the Haus der jüdischen Musik and thus also provide concrete support.

In times like these, listening and reaching out to one another is a rarity. Thus, music has a special role to play in keeping humanity and empathy alive, in connecting feeling and understanding, and perhaps also in penetrating another dimension.

The framework for this is created by the Israeli-born star clarinettist
Sharon Kam
in our peace concert organized at short notice. Together with the soprano
Ania

Vegry
and the pianist
Mario Häring
she plays works from her repertoire, which she has chosen for the occasion. (The individual program titles will be announced on the evening of the concert). After the musical performance, Sharon Kam will describe her impressions and thoughts in a salon conversation with Eliah Sakakushev-von Bismarck and present the project she has chosen as the recipient of the concert proceeds.

Benefit tickets at 30, 50 and 75 euros can be purchased in our webshop. Earmarked donations by bank transfer or cash on site are very welcome.

All proceeds from the concert will go to the Society for Protection of Nature in Israel, which is conducting an Emergency Campaign to provide safe housing and childcare for evacuated families in the current war situation. Other fundable initiatives, especially in the area of music, are currently hard to find, if they exist at all.

Villa Seligmann thanks the Minister for Science and Culture of Lower Saxony,
Falko Mohrs
for his participation in the Peace Concert and Salon Talk.

We gretaly value your safety at the House of Jewish Music. Therefore, due to the current occasion, additional measures are planned at the entrance to the house. For this we would like to ask for your understanding in advance and inform you that the admission already starts at 5 pm.

The event is fully booked. It will be streamed on the Villa Seligmann Facebook page. Donations are welcome.
